Statement: QRL Board meet to discuss Origin

The Queensland Rugby League Board held its Annual General Meeting and board meeting today in Brisbane.

With directors coming together for the first meeting of the year, there were numerous items on the agenda, including discussion about the review into the men’s and women’s State of Origin program.

The board also gave consideration to the men’s Origin coaching role and this process is ongoing.

Queensland Rugby League respects and honours the Traditional Custodians of the land and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and future. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the lands we meet, gather and play on.
