There were scenes of joy across South East Queensland and Cairns at the weekend with the return of rugby league after COVID-19 restrictions caused a brief hiatus of the greatest game of all in those areas.
Competitions resumed in Brisbane, at the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich and Cairns with finals footy just around the corner and teams vying for crucial playoff spots.
There were also a number of grand finals held across Queensland with the premiership titles decided in Rockhampton, Gladstone, Central Highlands, Bundaberg and Roma.
