The NRL Telstra Premiership is less than a month away with preparations for the season ahead in full swing for all 16 clubs.

Here's everything you need to know about the 2022 NRL Telstra Premiership Trials.

When do NRL trials start?

NRL clubs will play trials on Friday night, Saturday, Sunday and Monday night from February 18 to February 28, with a 10-day break before the start of the competition.

Where will NRL trials be held?

Trial locations include Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast and regional areas across NSW and Queensland.

Which clubs will play in the NRL trials?

All 16 NRL teams will kick off their respective seasons this weekend as the 2022 Telstra Premiership competition fast approaches.

Among the highlights of the NRL trials are double-headers involving the Raiders, Roosters, Sea Eagles and Wests Tigers at Leichhardt Oval on  February 18 and Central Coast Stadium on February 25.

The Panthers meet the Sharks and the Eels take on the Dragons in another double-header at CommBank Stadium on February 20, while the Titans host the Broncos in a derby clash at Cbus Super Stadium on February 19.

The Dragons and Rabbitohs renew their time-honoured Charity Shield rivalry in Mudgee on February 26 while the Bulldogs will get a good gauge of how their new-look roster is shaping up in trials against the Knights and Sharks.

When will clubs name their squads for NRL trials?

Clubs will name extended trial squads in the lead-up to the match with unlimited interchanges available.

Where and how can I watch the NRL trials?

All NRL Trials will be streamed live via Fox League on Kayo in 2022.

How long do NRL trials go for?

NRL trials are played for 80 minutes with most matches split into four quarters. There is no golden point or competition points on offer in trial matches. 

Can I attend the NRL trials?

Yes, tickets to trial matches are available for purchase via NRL.com/tickets.

Why are there NRL trials?

NRL clubs and players are given valuable match time in the lead-up to the NRL Telstra Premiership as coaches look to fine-tune and find their best 17 for the start of the competition. 

Will there be any NRLW Trials?

No, NRLW clubs will not hold trials for the rescheduled 2021 season with round one to get underway on February 27 with a triple header at McDonald Jones Stadium, Newcastle.

Tickets to rounds one and two of the NRL Telstra Women's Premiership are available via NRL.com/tickets.

Can players serving a suspension play in NRL trials?

Players who are serving a suspension in round one of the NRL Telstra Premiership can be named and play for their clubs in pre-season trials pending their charge was either a grade one or two incident.

The trial match will not count towards their suspension.
