Grand final teams locked in for BMD Premiership decider

Minor premiers Central Queensland Capras will take on an in-form North Queensland Gold Stars this year's BMD Premiership grand final next weekend, with both teams securing impressive semi-final wins.

The Capras have been the form team of the season, losing only the one game in Round 7 when they went down to Burleigh Bears.

In yesterday's semi-final at Browne Park against competition newcomers Wynnum Manly Seagulls, the home side were able to flex their muscle with a 32-14 win.

Their opposition this coming Saturday the Gold Stars led from start to finish against the 2021 defending premiers the Bears, putting in a dominant first half performance on their way to a 30-16 win.

The result was a turnaround from last year's semi-final where the Bears were able to overrun the Gold Stars after they were in a similarly dominant position at halftime.
