Fans will have the power to decide which games will be shown live and free as the feature broadcast games in the closing rounds of this year’s Hostplus Cup season.
Head to the polling options below and get your votes in now to select which games you would like to see given the feature game treatment for Round 17 through to Round 20.
Queensland Rugby League senior digital manager Mitch Wilson said he hoped the new innovation directly engaging with fans of the competition would see lovers of rugby league continue to tune into the special broadcast games showcasing expert commentary and insights, live statistics and halftime features.
“Hostplus Cup feature matches are fundamentally an entertainment product for fans of rugby league and with viewership being at the centre of how we measure success,” Wilson said.
“With the battle for attention being even more competitive, as a game, we need to continue to try new ways to deliver our product.
“We hope that the viewer playing a more central role in how we schedule fixtures can drive an uplift in that viewership.”
Voting will close at noon on Friday, July 1, with the selected games to be announced later that day at 5pm on the QRL website.
