Round 14 preview: All of the stats and facts

Round 14 of the Hostplus Cup kicks off on Saturday with five games taking place across the afternoon.

Sunday will see two games played - including the feature match between Norths Devils and Mackay Cutters, which can be viewed live and free.

Here is your Round 14 'stats pack' with all of the numbers you need to know for this weekend's games, courtesy of Brad Tallon.

Wynnum Manly Seagulls v PNG Hunters

  • Wynnum Manly come into this weekend's game in good form having won their past three matches

  • Overall, Wynnum Manly have won three of their past four games at their home venue

Central Queensland Capras v Sunshine Coast Falcons

  • Two top-four teams in the Sunshine Coast Falcons and Central Queensland Capras go head-to-head in what should be a good match-up this weekend
  • The Falcons have the overall head-to-head advantage and have won 10 of the past 11 games played between these two sides
  • The Falcons have also won the past four games between these two sides at Browne Park
  • The Capras are looking to bounce back with a win this weekend after posting have a loss last round against Tweed and a draw in their Round 12 match
  • The side have a good recent record at home and have won three of their past four games at Browne Park
  • The Falcons, however, are in good form on the road and have two wins and a draw from their past three away games

Townsville Blackhawks v Souths Logan Magpies

  • Souths Logan Magpies travel to Townsville this weekend to take on the Blackhawks and will be working to arrest their recent form which has seen them lost their past seven games 
  • The Blackhawks are also looking to bounce back this week after going down to the Falcons last weekend
  • The Blackhawks will fancy their changes against the Magpies as they have won two of the three past games played between the two sides at Jack Manski Oval
  • The Magpies, however, have struggled on the road and have lost their past two and five of their past six away games
  • Blackhawks stalwart Kyle Laybutt has been on a record-breaking run in recent weeks and requires six more points to bring up 200 for the club

Burleigh Bears v Ipswich Jets

  • After a tough start to the season, the Ipswich Jets have now won two games on the trot, but come up against a Burleigh Bears side that will no doubt still be stinging following their upset loss against Northern Pride last weekend
  • Last weekend's 36-18 win over PNG was Ipswich's equal biggest win against the Hunters
  • Overall, the Bears have a strong record against the Jets and have won 11 of the past 12 games between these two sides
  • The Bears have also claimed victory in the past four games between these two sides at Pizzey Park, with Ipswich struggling in general on the road, posting six losses from their past seven away games
  • In this match, Ipswich are trying to avoid their 300th loss in their 566th Cup game. They have 248 wins and 18 draws

Redcliffe Dolphins v Tweed Seagulls

  • The Seagulls won the last game played between these two sides at Redcliffe after the Dolphins had won the previous four matches

  • Pride have won their last two games and have also won the past two games between these two sides while the Tigers have won the past five games played between these two sides at Langlands Park
