The Redcliffe Dolphins remained unbeaten for the eighth game in a row with an impressive 54-16 victory over the Norths Devils on Saturday night at Moreton Daily Stadium.
The Devils were visiting Redcliffe for the first time since May 2017 and they were on the back foot from the outset, with Dolphins five-eighth Daejarn Asi setting up a try and scoring one himself in the opening 10 minutes of the game.
The Devils hit back minutes later however, with their leading try scorer Brayden McGrady going over. McGrady was unfortunately soon after ruled out of the remainder of the game with a head knock.
The Dolphins extended their lead through tries to wingers Edwards Burns and Setu Tu, before Devils captain Jack Ahearn scored on the stroke of half-time to cut the lead to 22-10.

Devils hooker Liam Horne was denied a try minutes after the break for a double movement, and this proved to be a turning point as the Dolphins scored in their very next set. Asi delivered a pinpoint cross field kick to Tu who scored his third in the 44th minute.
Liam Hampson was impressive off the bench out of dummy half for the Dolphins, and he scored to make it 34-10 with half an hour to go to put the game just about out of the Devils' reach.
Asi then had a hand in another try as he put through a clever grubber kick which Jackson Frei chased and planted down. Frei went over again a few minutes later after running onto a short ball from Ronald Volkman.
Volkman capped off the scoring for the Dolphins, bringing up the half century with an intercept try in the 72nd minute.
As he did in the first half, Ahearn scored in the dying stages in what was a consolation try for the Devils.
The Dolphins move into the top four of the Hostplus Cup with the victory, while the Devils drop to sixth place.
The Dolphins next travel to Ayr to play the Blackhawks in Activate! Queensland Country Week.
