Under 17 Girls North Queensland Championships: What you need to know

The Under 17 Girls North Queensland Championships will be played in Townsville this weekend, as players vie for a spot in the Queensland Country team.

Far North Queensland, Mackay, Townsville and North Queensland United - comprised of players from the Torres Strait and Mount Isa - will come together for the representative carnival and battle it out for the title.

The carnival will also act as a selection tournament for the Queensland Under 17 Girls Country team.

This side - picked in conjunction with the Central region - will go on to play against City on Hostplus Cup grand final day.
