Fotuaika eyes off ferocious forward battle against Raiders

It's an almighty clash between engine rooms when the Titans and Raiders face off at Cbus Super Stadium this Saturday.

With fans treated to a scintillating matchup between Big Papa and Big Tino - Origin teammates and front row partners in crime - another contest to watch will be the battle between Joseph Tapine and Moe Fotuaika - something the Titans prop is really looking forward to.

"It's always a tough game coming up against Canberra. They got Josh and Joseph Tapine and he has been playing really well this year as well as the whole forward pack," Fotuaika said.

"We've got a big job this weekend."

Despite Fa'asuamaleaui moving to the the front row, the only different the 22-year-old is expecting from his captain is the number he wears on his back.

"I'm expecting to see what he does usually for us week-in, week-out," Fotuaika said.

"He's always leading from the front and always leading with his actions too, so I wouldn't expect anything different from what he's been doing."

The change to the skipper's role is to accommodate Erin Clark at lock who has been a revelation since his switch two weeks ago and Fotuaika is expecting a positive change to the dynamic with the reshuffle.

"I think there is some different roles for us forwards now," Fotuaika said.

"Tino and I are just simple... just running forward and trying to get the boys on the front foot, but with Erin, he's played hooker before and he's got the difference with playing with the ball and he's skilful as well.

"He'll be there tipping us on and that kind of stuff, so he gives us that bit of a difference in the middle."

Despite the last win coming in Round 10, there is plenty of positivity among the group that an upset is brewing in front of home fans this Saturday.

"We just had our main training session and it was really high energy with a lot of intent as well," Fotuaika said.

"We're all looking forward to it. being back at home and we want to play well and get the two points for all our home fans."
