West Brisbane Panthers is the first side into the CAOS Premier A-Grade competition grand final.
The Panthers continued their unbeaten run and will play in the Sunday, September 18 premiership decider from 3.15pm at BMD Kougari Oval.
Their opponent will be the winner of this Saturday’s preliminary final between Bulimba and Wynnum Manly Juniors at 3.15pm at Totally Work Wear Stadium.
Bulimba gave the Panthers too much start last week in the major semi-final at Frank Lind, going down 28-24 after mounting a late comeback.
The Panthers have now defeated Bulimba on three occasions. They may well meet again for a fourth time on grand final day.
The Wynnum Manly Juniors, however, have other plans.
The Seagulls played quality semi-final football to end the season of defending premiers, Valleys, with a 24-16 win at Kitchener Park last Saturday.
The Seagulls will take on the Bulldogs in a replay of the qualifying final when the two sides battle it out. The Bulldogs finished second this season and will host third place Wynnum and the winner will go to the big dance.
This is the deepest Bulimba have gone into semi-final waters, while the Seagulls have lifted the silverware on three occasions. The regular season results had the Seagulls winning Round 9 32-18, with Bulimba taking the win in the final round at 30-22.
This will be the third time these two sides will meet in four weeks.
