Queensland Universities team named

The Queensland Universities team has been named for this Saturday's clash against New South Wales Universities, with the annual showdown to take place at North Sydney Oval.

A number of Hostplus Cup and Hastings Deerings Colts players have been named in the 18-man line-up, with an Australian team to be selected from this match to tour New Zealand in October.

Among the team is Mackay Cutters forward Ethan Sweet (pictured above), Souths Logan Cup and Colts fullback Byron Johnson, and his teammate Braden Whittaker, and Western Clydesdales duo, Todd White and Hugh Sedger.

Mackay Colts gun Kane Simon will start at fullback while Brisbane Tigers Colts pairing Bailey Black and Harry Farimbella have been named on the bench.

The match will kick off at 11am on Saturday, July 22.
