Grand final broadcast details locked in

Queensland Rugby League can today confirm the broadcast details for next Sunday’s Hostplus Cup and Hastings Deering Colts grand finals.

The Hostplus Cup match will be exclusively live on Fox League with the coverage commencing from 5pm.

QRL’s showpiece senior men’s grand final will also be available live and free on Kayo Freebies.

Fans with a keen eye for following Queensland’s emerging talent can tune into Qplus.tv, as well as Kayo Freebies, to catch all of the excitement from the 3.15pm Hastings Deering Colts grand final.

The grand finalists in both competitions will be locked in after this weekend’s preliminary finals.

In the Hostplus Cup, Burleigh Bears play the Wynnum Manly Seagulls and the Brisbane Tigers go up against the Central Queensland Capras.

The respective winners will seal their place in the September 17 decider at Kayo Stadium; 5.30pm kick off.

The Tigers are also alive in Hastings Deering Colts and will meet the Redcliffe Dolphins in the second preliminary final, with the winner to face off against either the Tweed Seagulls or Townsville Blackhawks.

QRL competitions manager David Maiden said it was shaping up to be a sensational weekend of rugby league.

“All the teams involved in this weekend’s preliminary finals are in great form, and those that get through to the big day on Sunday week will certainly be part of something special,” Maiden said.

“Kayo Stadium is a brilliant ground to watch rugby league from. If you haven’t yet experienced QRL grand final day at this venue, I’d certainly encourage you to snap up a ticket now so you don’t miss out.”

Tickets can be purchased from as little as $65 for a family of four and some attractive hospitality options are available as well.

Hospitality packages include the Shell V-Power Civoniceva Lounge, or an afternoon from the Terrace overlooking the field with mates.

Fans are also encouraged to support the 50-50 charity raffle in support of Hampo’s Youth Foundation.
