QRL North Council prepares for development workshop

Queensland Rugby League is pleased to share the QRL North Council Development Workshop will be held on Sunday - December 10 - in Townsville.

The development workshop will be facilitated by strategic leadership company Impact Improvements and will assist the Council in establishing the region’s goals in 2024.

QRL North chairman and QRL director Clinton Begg said the Council was excited to come together ahead of the new season.

“The recently released QRL 2024 Game Plan for ‘healthy community clubs and leagues’ will be a key factor at the development workshop,” Begg said.

“The focus of the Game Plan centres on volunteer support and capability, better facilities and more of them, accessible and inclusive clubs; and improved reporting and compliance.

“This work complements the QRL Positive Environment Program.”

The QRL North Council is guided by delegates Roger Whyte, Chey Bird, Heath Galletly, Nigel Tillett, Rob White, Scott Whybird and John Buttigieg.

QRL North region manager Renae Kunst said the Council remained committed to the QRL pillars.

“We’re all about being positive, united, inclusive and disciplined,” Kunst said.

“These pillars set the foundations for the development workshop and will set the tone for the 2024 season.”
