History will be made when the Queensland Universities’ women’s and men’s team play against New South Wales Universities for the first time next month.
The teams have been selected through an application process and will travel to Sydney to face the University Blues at North Sydney Oval on Sunday May 18.
It is the first time women’s teams from the two states have faced each other.
The first ever female Queensland Universities team was chosen last year and faced a PNG-based selection team in an historic day at Cbus Super Stadium.
But now they will have their first ever interstate clash, with the team to go into camp on the Gold Coast on Thursday May 15.
The men’s team will be based in Brisbane, with both teams to travel to Sydney the day before the game.
