Fatfish bikes steer Maroons

From intense field sessions to gym work outs and recovery, a regular day in the life of a Queensland Maroons star sees them cover plenty of ground.

The Maroons will this year be based on the Sunshine Coast, with each day’s training and recovery activity a critical part of the team’s preparation in the build up to kick off.

Those regular trips in Camp Maroon are now a little easier thanks to the support of Ride Electric, who are kindly donating 30 Fatfish bikes to support the Maroons throughout their 2025 State of Origin campaign.

While the Fatfish bikes will be put to use in camp, at the end of the series fans will get the chance to take home the player-ridden bikes via a Maroons Foundation raffle, which will be launched in coming weeks.

QRL chief executive officer Ben Ikin thanked Ride Electric for their generous donation to the team and Maroons Foundation.

“Not only are Ride Electric helping our Maroons through the use of their prized Fatfish bikes, but they’re helping give back to the communities that are the backbone of our success,” Ikin said.

Ride Electric CEO Ian LeGarth said:

“We’re proud to support the Queensland Maroons as they prepare for their 2025 State of Origin campaign.

“The Fatfish is built for performance and endurance, just like the Maroons, and we’re excited to see the bikes put to use by some of the game’s best athletes.

“It’s a privilege to be part of their journey, and even more rewarding to give fans the chance to take home a piece of the action through the Maroons Foundation raffle.”

The Maroons Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Queensland Rugby League, providing an ongoing invitation to individuals, members, corporate partners and supporters to contribute to Queensland Rugby Leagues community initiatives which focus on ensuring rugby league is the greatest game for all.
