2025 NRLW Signings Tracker: Broncos lock in Dam; Raiders continue recruitment drive

Brisbane Broncos have re-signed versatile forward Lauren Dam, extending her contract through to the end of the 2027 NRLW season.

The move comes after Dam’s first year in the second row, a positional switch that proved pivotal as the Broncos went on to achieve premiership glory.

Despite entering the season as a converted outside back, Dam quickly established herself as a key middle-edge contributor, topping the Broncos tackle count on six occasions.

"She is the ultimate professional with a genuine team-first mentality, and her attacking game in this new position will continue to evolve under Scott Prince," Head of the Broncos NRLW Program Paul Dyer said.

Krystal Blackwell will return home to Canberra as the Raiders continue a recruitment drive that has already netted fellow outside backs Bobbi Law and Sheridan Gallagher and young forward Ellie Brander.

Blackwell, a Goulburn Junior Stockmen junior, was part of the Raiders' Tarsha Gale Cup team from 2019 to 2021.

She has spent the past three seasons at the North Queensland Cowboys, playing 27 games and scoring seven tries.

“I’m really excited to come back to the club where it all started for me,” Blackwell said.

“The growth in NRLW has been awesome and the chance to come here and be close to Mum and Dad and see my family more often. My Dad travels to every game so I think he’s pretty excited to not have to travel every week.”

Blackwell, Law and Gallagher have all signed two-year contracts with Canberra and will provide added firepower in the outside backs.

A premiership winner with the Knights in 2022, Law featured in just two games for the Dragons in 2025 before an appendix operation ended the Indigenous All Stars centre's campaign.

Raiders coach Darrin Borthwick said Law's arrival will add experience to his squad.

"Sheridan has won a comp at Newcastle and Bobbi has won a premiership so having these types of players in and around your younger girls and what they add in terms of professionalism is terrific," Borthwick said.

"Bobbi is coming off a season where I know she’s hungry, she didn’t play much footy this year through injury. To get someone of Bobbi’s calibre here, I have worked with her previously so I just know what she brings to the table on and off the field."

A 2023 premiership winner with Newcastle, Gallagher was named in the Dally M Team of the Year in 2025.

The winger has emerged as one of the most prolific try-scorers in the NRLW, scoring 25 tries in 32 games and topping her club's tally in each of the last three years.

Gallagher has also excelled in soccer, captaining the Young Matildas and playing in the A-League Women's competition.

"To get someone of Sheridan’s calibre and that element of professionalism with the sport that she’s been in prior to rugby league is terrific," Borthwick said. "She’ll definitely add to our squad and we very much look forward to getting her here."

The club have also signed young forward Ellie Brander for the next two NRLW seasons.

The 18-year-old was part of the Sydney Roosters 2025 NRLW squad as a development player, as well as the Roosters Tarsha Gale Cup team that made it to the 2025 grand final and the Central Coast Roosters Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership team.

The Wyong Roos junior also captained the Central Coast Sports College team that won the 2025 NSW PCYC Schoolgirls Cup, named Player of the Final.

The Bulldogs have granted emerging forward Tegan Dymock an immediate release, with the 23-year-old joining the Sharks on a two-year deal.

The youngster played for Cronulla in their first two seasons before joining Canterbury for their inaugural campaign.

She will return to the Sharks for 2026 on a contract that takes her through to the end of 2027.

The Knights have secured the services of Nakia Davis-Welsh and Cheyelle Robins-Reti for the 2026 NRLW season.

Davis-Welsh attended Hunter Sports High in her teenage years before representing the Jillaroos and NSW Origin sides and making her NRLW debut with the Eels in 2023.

The 29-year-old has played 14 NRLW matches across the past three seasons in stints with Parramatta and the Sharks.

Kiwi dual International Robins-Reti joins the Knights with over 25 Kiwi Ferns and Black Ferns Rugby caps, along with 28 NRLW appearances.

“We are thrilled Chey will be joining us for the next two seasons,” said Knights coach Ben Jeffries.

“Having been a teammate with several of our players before, we expect her transition to be smooth and her impact significant.

“With speed and power, and the ability to play any position in the backline, Chey will fast become a vital member to our squad."

The Cowboys have extended the contracts of forwards Essay Banu and Tallisha Harden and emerging outside back Ana Malupo.

Banu and Malupo have inked three-year deals, while veteran second-rower Harden has extended for one season.

PNG Orchids forward Banu has been one of the breakout stars of the past two seasons for the Cowboys, regularly starting in the front row for Ricky Henry.

Malupo, the Cowboys 2025 Rookie of the Year, made three NRLW appearances in her debut season and has also represented Tonga in three internationals.

One of the great stalwarts of women’s rugby league in Queensland, Harden’s extension creates the opportunity for the 33-year-old to reach 50 NRLW games in 2026, a milestone only nine women have eclipsed since the competition’s formation in 2018.

The Cowboys have also exercised club options for 2026 on forwards Hailee-Jay Ormond-Maunsell and Tafao Asaua

Further squad updates have seen the club promote Tayla Curtis from the Development List to the Top 24 on a two-year contract and signed Townsville product Sian Williams to a Top 24 contract for the next two years.

The Cowboys have also released prop Najvada George from the final year of her contract on compassionate grounds.

Significant re-signings also for the Sharks with fullback Jada Taylor and forwards Stephanie Faulkner, Annemarie Kiria-Ratu and Filomina Hanisi all locked in until the end of 2027.

After starting the year without an NRLW contract, Kiria-Ratu has been rewarded for a rapid rise with a new deal that ties her to the Sharks for the next two seasons.

The rangy second-rower arrived mid-year as part of the Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership squad with the goal of eventually working her way up to joining her older sister and fellow recruit Chantay in Cronulla's NRLW team.

"I'm super excited and grateful to be back in the Sharkies colours," the Cook Islands international said.

"I've fallen in love with the environment here, the club, the culture and especially the girls. I can't see myself being anywhere else."

Taylor made a strong return from an ACL injury this year, producing two tries, three try assists and eight line breaks in just six matches.

Sharks coach Tony Herman commended Taylor's resilience while highlighting her attacking prowess and work ethic as major weapons for his squad moving forward.

"Jada showed glimpses of her brilliance when she returned this season, but excitingly, she's still nowhere near her full potential," Herman said.

Faulkner, meanwhile, became the first player to progress all the way through Cronulla's female pathways when she made her top-grade debut against the Raiders in Round 2.

The 20-year-old prop scored two tries on debut and went on to play a key role in the Sharks' march to the preliminary final.

After beginning the season on a development contract, Faulkner capped a brilliant 2025 by being named the club's rookie of the year.

"It means so much to re-sign with the club I grew up supporting," Faulkner said.

"To come through the female pathways and now be in a position to extend my time with a club that means so much to me - it was a no-brainer. I'm thankful to the club and the coaching staff for instilling belief in me and I'm really excited for the future."

Hanisi, who played in the 2024 grand final after joining Cronulla from Brisbane, missed most of the 2025 campaign after rupturing her ACL in a season-opening clash with the Eels.

"Sitting out for the 2025 season has added fuel to the fire and I'm excited to run it back in 2026 and 2027 with my Shark family," Hanisi said.

The Bulldogs have granted experienced forward Holli Wheeler an immediate release, with the veteran a confirmed signing with Wests Tigers.

Wheeler was originally contracted through to the end of 2026 with the newest NRLW club, but has switched clubs for the upcoming season.

Wests Tigers have also announced the signing of Shenai Lendill on a two-year contract.

The backrower had a standout 2025 NRLW campaign for the St George Illawarra Dragons, which saw her rewarded with selection in the Australian Prime Minister’s XIII squad that travelled to Papua New Guinea.

The club have also confirmed the re-signing of Rikeya Horne on a two-year deal, keeping the outside back at Concord until the end of the 2027 NRLW season.

Horne – who missed the 2025 season with pregnancy – has been diligently preparing for her return to play, following the arrival of twins, Azaria and Titus in late-August.

Elsewhere, Samoan international Sarina Masaga has committed to the Gold Coast Titans for a further two seasons, signing on until the end of the 2027 season.

Titans head coach Karyn Murphy said locking in Masaga until the end of the 2027 season is a major win for the club, especially with the 20-year-old an alumni of Gold Coast's successful female pathways program.

"Sarina is one of the most dangerous ball runners in the NRLW and provided great impact for us this year," Murphy said.

The Titans have also locked in emerging hooker Lily Kolc through to the end of 2027 after she signed a one-year extension.

The 21-year-old played in 11 games last season and shapes as a key member of the Gold Coast spine moving forward.

"After seizing her opportunity last year, Lily hasn’t looked back and was a hugely important member of our squad this season," Murphy said.

"She brings spark, toughness and spades of energy to the middle, and she’s only scratching the surface of what she can become.

"Lil’s only in the early stages of her career and I’m eager to see her continue growing as a player and as a person."

Up north, inaugural North Queensland Cowboys squad member Tahlulah Tillett has announced her retirement from rugby league.

A hugely influential figure in the female game in North Queensland, Tillett relocated to Newcastle to play NRLW with the Knights for the delayed 2021 season.

Tillett was one of the first signings for the North Queensland NRLW outfit ahead of the maiden 2023 season and became Cowboys NRLW Player No.20 when she made her debut at five-eighth in Round 4.

The Parramatta Eels have announced the signings of Jayde Herdegen and Jasmin Morrissey for the 2026-2027 NRLW seasons, adding exciting depth and proven talent to the club’s backline.

Herdegen arrives at Parramatta from the Sydney Roosters, having begun her rugby league journey with the Wynnum Manly Seagulls. A versatile playmaker who can feature at five-eighth or at halfback, Herdegen also boasts representative honours, having played for Queensland in the 2021 U17 Country and 2022 U19s State of Origin.

Morrissey joins the Eels from the Gold Coast Titans, bringing with her strong form and emerging potential. A Tweed Seagulls junior, Morrissey made her NRLW debutin 2025, running out in Round 10 against the Newcastle Knights.

Teenage playmaker Kasey Reh will remain at the Dragons until at least the end of the 2027 season after agreeing to a contract extension with her junior club.

Since debuting for the Dragons in Round 1, 2024, Reh has played 19 NRLW matches for St George Illawarra and is a two-time NSW Under 19s and Australian PM's XIII representative.

She was also a member of this season's NSW Origin train-on squad.

Reh captained Illawarra’s 2024 Tarsha Gale Cup outfit to a grand final win in April, taking out the competition’s Player of the Series Award in the process.

This season she scored two NRLW tries, including a match-winner against Canterbury in Round 3.

“We’re really happy to have locked Kasey in until the end of 2027,” Head Coach Nathan Cross said.

“She will play a really important role at our club over the coming years. She’s another one of our crop of local juniors and is a real student of the game.

"She’s a dedicated trainer and is really committed to learning her craft and putting in the work. I can’t wait to see her continue to improve and leave a real mark on this competition.”

The Roosters have re-signed dummy half Shawden Burton through to the end of the 2027 season.

Burton came off the bench in the Roosters' grand final loss to the Broncos and has racked up 20 NRLW games since debuting in 2021.

“Shawden has been an important part of our squad for a while now, and it’s been really pleasing to see her growth as a player and a person over the years,” said Roosters coach John Strange.

“She’s a tough competitor who brings great energy and effort to everything she does, and her team-first attitude makes her a valued member of the group, so it’s great that she’ll continue to be part of our program."

At Wests Tigers, the club has secured the signatures of Namoe Gesa, Shaniece Monschau and Leah Ollerton, with the trio to call Concord home until the end of the 2027 NRLW season.

Gesa joins following a 2025 to remember where the dynamic centre was a member of the Brisbane Tigers Harvey Norman Under 19 grand final winning side, with her performances across the season also earning her selection in the 2025 BMD Premiership squad.

Auckland-born second-rower Monschau joins the Wests Tigers from the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs. The 23-year-old was promoted to the NRLW squad in 2025 after impressing in the Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership. Monschau capped off 2025 with a Kiwi Ferns call-up for the Pacific Championships, making two appearances off the bench against the Jillaroos.

Ollerton is a product of the Newcastle Knights pathway and comes to the Wests Tigers with an impressive roll call of achievements. In 2023, she was captain of the Knights Tarsha Gale Cup side that secured a place in the semi finals, eventually earning selection for NSW Country for the National Championships and the NSW Women’s Under 19s for a standalone State of Origin match.

Pihuka Berryman-Duff and Terina Te Tamaki have also extended their stays, with both players signing new one-year contracts.

Berryman-Duff was a member of the Fetu Samoa squad for the 2025 Pacific Championships, coming off the interchange bench in matches against the Kiwi Ferns and the Jillaroos.

Te Tamaki signed for the Wests Tigers for the 2025 NRLW season, bringing to the Club a wealth of international experience from her nine years with New Zealand’s national Rugby Sevens program.

Their extensions come after prop Tara Reinke and outside back Harmony Crichton also signed contract extensions.

Reinke has signed a two-year deal that will see the 26-year-old remain with Wests Tigers until the end of the 2027 NRLW season.

“Tara was a consistent presence in the squad during 2025 and was able to make a strong impact from the bench," said coach Craig Sandercock.

"She has a team-first attitude, a great work ethic and as a senior player brings great leadership for our group."

A product of the Wests Tigers Women’s Pathway, Crichton has signed a one-year extension for the 2026 season.

Having sustained a long-term knee injury during her debut season in 2024, the 20-year-old made an impressive comeback to NRLW action in Round 9 this year.

Named to start for the final three games of 2025, Crichton had 14 tackle breaks and averaged 80 run metres per game.

Fiji captain Cassie Staples will remain an integral piece in Cronulla's premiership puzzle next season with the outstanding winger inking a new one-year deal.

Staples has notched up 30 matches for the Sharks since 2023 as a foundation member of the team, becoming a consistent force on the flank.

The 32-year-old is motivated by the pursuit of a title, having come agonisingly close to glory in the 2024 grand final.

"I don't take it lightly – I'm honoured to continue my journey at the Sharks and keep building towards something special with this team," Staples said.

"The camaraderie within the group is so strong. Our connection to each other on and off the field is second to none, and I think that's something that forms every time pre-season comes around. We've got a really good group of people.

"We've come so close over the past two years, but I feel like that premiership ring is truly within our reach in 2026."

Staples and her Sharks coach Tony Herman teamed up to create history last month by securing Fiji's place in the 2026 women's World Cup with qualifying wins over Canada and Nigeria.

The skipper scored four tries in a thumping win over Nigeria in Brampton, Ontario to seal the berth, while Herman offered his expertise as part of Joe Dakuitoga's coaching staff.

"That was something really special for me, our nation and the people of Fiji," said Staples, whose performance have earned an IRL Golden Boot nomination.

The Sharks have also announced the signing of Tonga and Queensland representative China Polata on a two-year deal from 2026.

Polata has played 18 NRLW games since making her debut for the Broncos in 2022 and has spent the past three seasons with the Cowboys.

Meanwhile, Samoa international Taliah Fuimaono will return to the Dragons on a two-year deal, while Queensland Under 19s back Montoya Hudson joins the club's crop of emerging stars.

The deal will see 26-year-old Fuimaono join the club she debuted at until at least the end of the 2027 NRLW season.

Fuimaono made her NRLW debut for the Dragons in 2021 and started at five-eighth in every match of the side’s run towards the grand final before another strong season in 2022 earned her a World Cup call up for the Jillaroos.

The 26-year-old played State of Origin for NSW the following year after moving to the Gold Coast.

She returns to St George Illawarra boasting a résumé consisting of 29 NRLW appearances, six Tests, five Origin caps and four Indigenous All-Stars selections.

The Dragons have signed Hudson on a two-year deal after the he outside back progressed through the Broncos pathway and was a member of the club's top squad in 2025. The teenager previously starred for the Queensland Under 19s team.

Elsewhere, Wests Tigers have announced the re-signing of Emily Bass and Portia Bourke.

Queensland Maroons representative Bass has signed on for 2026 and 2027, while Bourke has signed a one-year extension.

This comes after the recruitment of Raecene McGregor from the Dragons to lead a new era for the club's NRLW side under coach Craig Sandercock.

A three-time NRLW premiership winner, McGregor has also made 14 appearances for the Kiwi Ferns and shapes as a crucial member of their upcoming Pacific Championships campaign.

The halfback is also a Dally M and Golden Boot winner.

"Raecene brings so much quality and experience, she will be a huge asset for us both on and off the field," Sandercock said.

"We identified Raecene as someone who could add another dimension to our squad, with the ability to get the most out of the players around her. I’m looking forward to working with her and seeing the contribution she can make to our program.

"She’s the current Kiwi Ferns captain for a reason and it illustrates her standing in the women’s game, we’re really pleased to welcome a player of Raecene’s calibre to the club."

The club has also extended the time of young rookie fullback Caitlin Turnbull on a four-year deal, keeping the up-and-coming fullback at the club until the end of the 2029 NRLW season.

Titans young gun Ivana Lolesio has capped a sensational season by inking an extension through to the end of 2027.

The 21-year-old missed the 2024 season with a knee injury and fought her way back to make her NRLW debut in Round 1, 2025 against the Cowboys.

She played every game and was crowned the Titans' NRLW rookie of the year.

The Eels have re-signed powerhouse PNG prop Elsie Albert to a two-year extension through to the end of the 2027 season.

The Knights have moved quickly to replace departing halfback Jesse Southwell, snapping up former Cowboy Kirra Dibb on a three-year deal.

Southwell announced earlier this month that she will be joining the Broncos from 2026, leaving Newcastle desperate to secure a high-quality replacement.

In Dibb, they have found a NSW and Australian representative and a member of the Knights' NRLW premiership-winning team in 2022.

"Having won a premiership previously with the club and being from the Central Coast, we are thrilled to welcome Kirra back to the Knights,” Newcastle coach Ben Jeffries said.

"Kirra comes back with a wealth of knowledge, having represented her Country, State and Indigenous heritage, along with game management and kicking expertise, making her a complete package."

The Knights have also announced extensions for young players Sienna Yeo and Lilly-Ann White with both recommitting to the club, until at least the end of 2027.

Multiple gold medal-winning Black Ferns rugby union star Stacey Waaka is returning to the NRLW on a two-year contract with the Warriors from next season.

Waaka was a star for the Broncos in her first season of rugby league in 2024, before returning to rugby union this past year.

“Stacey is an experienced world-class athlete and during her time in rugby league it was evident for all to see how easily she adapted to the game," Warriors coach Ron Griffiths said.

Meanwhile, Brisbane's quest to defend their NRLW premiership has received a major boost with a pair of key forwards inking extensions to remain at the club.

Samoan duo Shalom Sauaso and Destiny Brill have each signed two-year extensions that take them through to the end of the 2027 season.

Sauaso scored a key try in the grand final and was named Dally M Rookie of the Year, while Brill has already played 41 NRLW games at just 22 years old.

The contracts come on the back of the announcement that Jesse Southwell and Lillian Yarrow will join the club in 2026. Yarrow played all 12 games for the Cowboys in 2025, and represented the PM's XIII in PNG.

The premiers have also locked in two key members of their forward pack with Brianna Clark and Bree Spreadborough inking new deals through to the end of 2027.

Southwell's arrival offsets the loss of Gayle Broughton, who will move to the Warriors next year.

The 20-year-old is a two-time premiership winner and led the Blues to this year's State of Origin triumph. She partner with Australian co-captain Ali Brigginshaw in the recent Pacific Championships.

"With the departure of Gayle Broughton and our inspirational co-captain Ali Brigginshaw coming towards the back end of her career, it was critical as a club that we started to plan for the future," Broncos NRLW boss Paul Dyer said.

"The signing of Jesse cannot be understated, as we are not just investing in one of the game’s premier young playmakers, we are investing in the future of our NRLW program at the club.

"Her vision, leadership, and natural playmaking ability, coupled with the opportunity to develop under Scott Prince, is a really exciting prospect."

Annetta-Claudia Nu’uausala has become the third Broncos grand final winner to sign with the Warriors for 2026 and beyond.

The dominant forward has inked a three-year deal with the New Zealand-based club, joining Brisbane teammates Mele Hufanga and Broughton in moving back across the Tasman.

Nu’uausala has committed to a three-year deal and will remain at the club until the end of the 2028 campaign.

Broncos and Jillaroos forward Keilee Joseph has also signed with Parramatta.

The Warriors announced that Hufanga would return home to New Zealand next season after signing for two years, with a mutual option for a third season in 2028.

“It’s really special heading back home next year to the Warriors,” she said. “And even better I get to be with my family.”

Broughton, the multiple Black Ferns rugby union sevens title winner, has also signed a two-year deal to the end of the 2027 season with the Warriors.

The star playmaker told NRL.com before the grand final that a key factor in her decision to sign with the Warriors was the desire for her and partner Tahlia Lawrence to be closer to family with their young son Eastyn.

“I'll do anything for my son. I'd move heaven and earth for him," she said. "If that means moving back home to make sure that we’ve got more support, then I'll jump on the first plane there. I'm excited to get back to New Zealand.”

Cook Islands international Lavinia Kitai has agreed to a three-year deal with St George Illawarra Dragons.

Former Tigers back Montana Clifford will join Kitai at the Dragons after signing a three-year deal with the club.

The Dragons have also locked down Ahlivia Ingram, Sara Sautia and Bronte Wilson with contract extensions.

Ingram and Sautia have each signed one-year extensions, while Wilson has inked a two-year deal that takes her through to 2027.

The Cowboys have announced Krystal Blackwell and development players Autumn-Rain Stephens Daly and Caitlin Tanner will be departing the club.

Elsewhere, exciting Warriors rookie Patricia Maliepo has become the fifth player from the club’s 2025 roster to extend her contract to the 2026 NRLW season and possibly beyond.

Originally contracted for only this year, the 22-year-old former Black Fern has been signed for next season with an option for 2027.

Her retention follows contract extensions for four fellow NRLW debutantes, all coming out of grass roots rugby league in New Zealand.

Second rower Kaiyah Atai was secured in mid-August while new deals have been announced over the past two days for props Ivana Lauitiiti and Metanoia Fotu-Moala plus back rower Maarire Puketapu.

Fellow Warriors newcomers Tyra Wetere and Felila Kia have been signed by Les Catalans for an offseason stint in the French domestic competition. Both players will return in April in time for preseason training in May.

  • The Titans have locked down boom rookie Phoenix-Raine Hippi on a two-year contract extension. Exciting backs Georgia Grey and Lailani Montgomery have re-signed for the 2026 season.
  • The Titans also announced the departure of Jillaroos star Shannon Mato on compassionate grounds. The prop was signed until the end of 2027 but has been granted an early release after a change to personal circumstances. Mato missed the 2025 season after announcing her pregnancy earlier this year.
  • Jillaroos hooker Olivia Higgins, Kiwi Ferns forward Tiana Davison and local junior Jules Kirkpatrick will remain with the Knights. Higgins activated a mutual option for 2026, while both Davison and Kirkpatrick have extended until at least the end of 2027.
  • Dally M Medallist Olivia Kernick is the latest Sydney Roosters star to re-sign after committing to the 2024 NRLW premiers for another two years.
  • The Roosters also re-signed star forward Amber Hall for the 2026 season
  • Rising Roosters prop Aliyah Nasio, Fijian winger Taina Naividi and forward Macie Carlile will remain with the club for another two seasons.
  • Broncos centre Shenae Ciesiolka has signed a two-year extension through to the end of the 2027 season.
  • Teen sensation Indie Bostock has signed a contract extension with the Dragons until the end of the 2027 NRLW season, while promising forward Madi Mulhall has also inked a two-year extension.
  • Logan Fletcher has become the first player to progress through the Roosters female pathway to the club's top squad after signing a contract upgrade.
  • The Eels have re-signed NSW Origin fullback Abbi Church, Tongan playmaker Cassey Tohi-Hiku (both 2028), emerging forward Tess McWilliams (2027), Samoan international Lindsay Tui (2027), Bree Eales (2026) and youngster Fontayne Tufuga (2028). Elsewhere, the Eels have announced the re-signing of Lindsay Tui through to the end of the 2027 season and  until the end of 2026.
  • Parramatta have also announced the departure of 10 players from their squad. Kiana Takairangi, Chelsea Makira, Yasmine Baker, Jessica Kennedy, Mia Middleton, Paige Travis, Tyla Amiatu, Ruby-Jean Kennard-Ellis, Madeline Jones and Rysh'e Fa'amausili have all left the club.
