The 2025 BMD premiership is right around the corner, with the first match of the season set to kick off this Saturday, 12:40pm at Totally Workwear Stadium.
This year’s iteration is historic, as it is the first season in which the BMD premiership is aligned with the NRLW season.
This not only provides a more efficient pathway for talented players to ascend to the pinnacle of female Rugby League, but it also allows more opportunities for burgeoning players to compete at a higher level than their local league, as well as allowing more exposure for athletes competing in the BMD Premiership.
In addition, this season also features two new teams joining the competition, those being the Northern Pride and the Ipswich Jets.
Coaching the inaugural teams will be Roger Eliu and Vili Leaunoa for the Jets, and Colin Wilkie for the Pride.
The season structure will see teams play each other once, with the top six teams to contest in the final series, with the Grand Final being played in line with the Hostplus Cup Grand Final, creating an unforgettable Grand Final experience on the 27th of September.
Each and every game of the 2025 BMD season will be available to stream on Qplus.TV, with monthly passes starting from the low price of $2.49 a week.
