Queensland’s senior men’s and women’s State of Origin teams will start their 2026 campaigns on away soil following the official release of the representative schedule.
The Origin period commences on April 30 when the Harvey Norman Queensland Maroons travel to Newcastle’s McDonald Jones Stadium for the opening match of the women’s three-match series against New South Wales.
The clash marks the first game in charge for new Maroons coach Nathan Cross.
The men’s Origin series opens on May 27 at Sydney’s Accor Stadium, the scene of the Maroons’ stunning Game Three victory that secured the 2025 series.
Billy Slater’s team will then prepare for a Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) blockbuster on June 17, before returning home to play the final match of the series in Brisbane on July 8.
Games Two and Three of the women’s series will be played in the Sunshine State, giving Queenslanders a unique opportunity to get behind their team in consecutive matches in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Queensland’s next generation of Under 19 male and female talent will be on display at North Sydney Oval on June 18.
