Queensland Rugby League has today released its junior representative draws for aspirational male and female athletes who again promise to light up the QRL’s statewide competitions in 2026.
These competitions feature the Mal Meninga Cup (Under 19) and Cyril Connell Cup (Under 17) for leading male talent, as well as two female youth competitions backed by Harvey Norman.
Fixtures will be played across the state, instead of pools, as clubs strive to play finals by finishing in the top four in the Cyril Connell Cup and the Harvey Norman Under 17s and Under 19s.
Six teams will contest the Mal Meninga Cup finals commencing April 25-26, with the grand final pencilled in for either May 9 or 10.
Many eyes will be on how the Burleigh Bears and Brisbane Tigers perform in 2026 after premiership-winning seasons.
The Bears were a powerhouse across the two male competitions, while the Tigers were the benchmark in the Harvey Norman Under 17s and Under 19s.
In the Mal Meninga Cup, the Bears open their campaign against the Central Queensland Capras on February 14.
Burleigh’s Cyril Connell Cup team will also step out on the field on this day for the first time in the new season, as they look to emulate their 2025 premiership-winning season.
In Round1 of the Harvey Norman Under 17 and Under 19s, the Tigers are drawn to play the Souths Logan Magpies.
The grand finals are confirmed for the weekend of April 11-12.
Fans can catch every game of the 2026 Hostplus Cup live and on-demand on QPlus.tv, the streaming home of Queensland Rugby League.
Season Pass subscriptions will be available for purchase starting Monday, February 2, 2026.
