The Fraser Coast Regional Council are gearing up to host all the action as they partner with the Harvey Norman Queensland Maroons Footy Fest.
Taking place on Saturday, May 9 at the home of the Hervey Bay Seagulls from 10am-1pm, the Footy Fest is sure to be the go-to show in town.
Aligned with the Fraser Coast junior rugby league fixtures, the day will come together as one unified Footy Fest experience.
More than just an event, it’s a celebration of the players, volunteers and fans who make rugby league the heartbeat of Queensland.
“We’ve seen the Fraser Coast increase 160% in girls’ participation aged 5-18 from 2023 to 2025," said Harvey Norman Sponsorships General Manager, Samantha Waters.
This is why Harvey Norman is excited to see Footy Fest in Hervey Bay, as we hope to inspire the next generation of female athletes and continue to increase the region participation.

Maroons young gun Jada Ferguson travelled to Hervey Bay today to announce the event and participate in the Harvey Norman girls training clinic with some of the young local talent.
The Toowoomba junior also explored all that the region had to offer, including a quick swim with the turtles and a walk along the esplanade.
“I’m very excited for the rest of the team to come out here and experience just how good the Fraser Coast is,” Ferguson said.
We were welcomed with open arms. The ninth of May couldn’t come quicker; it’s sure to be a fantastic day that will have an immense impact on the region as well as our playing group.

Fraser Coast Mayor, George Seymour, warmly welcomed Ferguson to the region.
“The council is thrilled to welcome such elite athletes to our region and are proud to partner with the Harvey Norman Maroons Fan Day,” Seymour said.
“Hosting events like this delivers real benefits for local businesses, supports local jobs and showcases the Fraser Coast to new audiences.
This will be a special day for local fans to meet the players, learn from them and show their support.
