Grand finals locked in for junior reps

Six different clubs are in contention for premiership glory across the three junior representative grand finals at Kayo Stadium on April 11.

The final of the Cyril Connell Cup (presented by Ford) will pair off the Wynnum Manly Seagulls and Norths Devils.

Norths secured their spot with a big 44-12 win semi-final win over the Sunshine Coast Falcons, while the Seagulls beat Townsville Blackhawks 28-18 in the other play-off match.

In the Harvey Norman Under 17s, the grand final will feature the Burleigh Bears and Blackhawks.

Burleigh played their way into the decider with a strong win over the Western Clydesdales, while the Blackhawks beat Souths Logan by six points.

The Magpies, however, had plenty to celebrate in the Harvey Norman Under 19s after two tries from Te Rina Pearse helped her team to a 34-6 win over the Blackhawks.

Souths Logan will now set their sights on dethroning last year’s premiers Brisbane Tigers, who secured another Under 19 grand final appearance after beating Wynnum Manly 28-12.
