Extended women’s Under 19 squad ready to get down to work

The Queensland women’s Under 19 extended State of Origin squad will assemble in Brisbane this Friday evening for a further development opportunity over the weekend.

The squad, which has been selected from performances in the Harvey Norman 19s and NSWRL Tarsha Gale Cup, will train together at ACU’s Brisbane campus.

For some players, it will be another step in the process of locking down a position in the Queensland Under 19 team to play NSW at North Sydney Oval on June 18.

For others, it will be about the experience, with an eye to the future and the following year’s representative program and interstate match.

The final Queensland squad list will be announced in early June and will be guided by head coach Maia Tua-Davidson and assistants Matt Sanders and Colin Wilkie.
