Queenslanders to get first look at Maroons during Sunshine Coast training session
Queenslanders will get their first opportunity to see the 2026 Queensland Maroons squad in action this Sunday, with fans encouraged to head to Sunshine Coast Stadium for a free open training session.
Running from 10am–12pm, the session will give supporters the chance to experience the energy of Origin camp as Billy Slater and his squad continue preparations for the opening game of the 2026 State of Origin series in Sydney.
From future Maroons to lifelong supporters, fans can get up close to Queensland’s team and be part of the opening moments of another Origin campaign.
Slater, now in his fifth year as head coach after a decorated playing career with the Maroons, said the session would allow Queenslanders to connect with the team and experience the beginning of the 2026 journey.
Our connection with Queensland communities is a core part of who we are as a team, and this Sunday presents an exciting opportunity for Queenslanders to come out and support their footy team.
