Tigers and Magpies ready to rumble in pivotal clash

Only one point separates the Brisbane Tigers and Souths Logan Magpies on the ladder as a must-watch affair at Totally Workwear Stadium looms.

With seven weeks to go until finals, the games you drop now can leave you pondering what could have been.

Historically the Tigers hold the bragging rights in this match up, boasting 38 wins to the Magpies’ 15 head-to-head.

At Totally Work Wear Stadium it is even more distressing reading for the Magpies with the Tigers having won 12 and drawn one of the last 14 games between them.

However, with ball in hand the Magpies’ attack is humming along as always, scoring 399 points to the Tigers 296 points this season.

The Tigers are coming home after a win away against the Tweed Seagulls 26-22.

The Tigers started well but it will be the late tries that let the Seagulls get close that will worry the Tigers.

Two tries in the last three minutes meant the Seagulls got a lot closer than they should have been able to after the Tigers led 16-6 at half time.

The Tigers Oskar Bryant was excellent and continues to settle into life as a Tiger.

His 35 tackles kept the middle secure and he chipped in with two vital goals too.

The Magpies had their best win of the season against the Dolphins.

It was a complete team effort with the Magpies forwards showing authority and finishing off the Dolphins.

Michael Waqa’s two try performance was the effort the Magpies have been waiting to see.

He was dominant in the middle and cashed in at the end when opportunity knocked and the hard work had been done.

The Magpies had the use of the Broncos’ Jesse Arthars and Billy Walters and with the Broncos having the bye this week there is every chance that Michael McGuire will be keen to get some Broncos more game time.

Sunday's feature match, presented by National Storage, will be broadcast live and free on Qplus.tv, Kayo and 9Now.
