Round 20 Hostplus Cup wrap

Townsville Blackhawks excitement machine Dudley Dotoi has set the Hostplus Cup alight with an incredible five-try haul against the Souths Logan Magpies at Davies Park.

The Blackhawks were in scintillating form from the start of the opening whistle of the Harvey Norman Women in League round match, racing in four first-half tries to lead 24-0 at the break.

Dotoi scored three of those four tries within the space of nine minutes, before adding a further two early in the second half as the Blackhawks inflicted more pain on the Magpies.

Jack Campagnolo kicked 11 conversions to keep the scoreboard ticking over, while the Magpies’ only joy came via a Floyd Aubrey try in the 78th minute.

Townsville are now in sixth spot, while the Magpies slipped to 11th ahead of their crucial clash against the Ipswich Jets this weekend.

Elsewhere, the Western Clydesdales secured their fifth win of the season with Kaden Buhse and Christopher Woodbridge scoring doubles against the Tweed Seagulls in a high-scoring thriller in Toowoomba.
