The 26th of September will see 28 weeks of Hostplus Cup action culminate in a blockbuster Grand Final which pits the season’s two most dominant teams against one another at Kayo Stadium.

The Sunshine Coast Falcons will enter Saturday on the back of seven consecutive victories, most recently dispatching the Central Queensland Capras 32-16 in a dominant performance at home.

The Falcons have made no changes from last weekend’s victory, with star winger Zion Johnson still named to start despite leaving the field early with an apparent ankle injury in the 27th minute.

Coincidentally, the Falcons most recent loss came back in Round 18, when they were defeated 28-14 by none other than the Redcliffe Dolphins, at Kayo Stadium no less.

However, it will be a noticeably different Dolphins side which runs out this weekend, as Redcliffe are expected to be bolstered by a slew of NRL-Dolphins contracted players who are currently listed in the extended interchange.

The inclusions of Brad Schneider, Jake Averillo and Felise Kaufasi in Redcliffe’s 17 will depend on their selection in this Friday’s NRL preliminary final between the Dolphins and Sydney Roosters.
