Northern Pride confirms new homes during Barlow Park redevelopment

The Kenfrost Homes Northern Pride will enter an exciting new chapter in 2027, with a new game day base confirmed while the major redevelopment of Barlow Park takes place.

Access to Barlow Park Stadium will be temporarily restricted while the stadium goes through a major redevelopment, which will deliver a significantly enhanced sporting venue increasing seating capacity from approximately 1700 to 5000.

While the works mean Northern Pride will temporarily move away from its traditional Barlow Park home, the club is embracing the opportunity to establish strong new bases for the 2027 season and beyond.

Stan Williams Park will become the Pride's temporary home ground, giving players, partners, members and supporters the opportunity to experience rugby league at the newly developed, purpose-built football facility.

Northern Pride's football programs will continue to train at West Barlow Park, maintaining the club's connection to the Barlow Park precinct.

Northern Pride CEO Garreth Smith said the change represents an exciting period for the club.

"There is an enormous amount happening around the Northern Pride, and while moving from Barlow Park requires significant planning across the entire organisation, we see this as an exciting opportunity rather than simply a disruption.

"Stan Williams Park gives our players and supporters the opportunity to experience a new purpose-built rugby league facility and West Barlow provides an important training base for our football programs.

"Most importantly, these arrangements allow the Pride to continue operating strongly while Barlow Park undergoes a transformation.

The club will work closely with its partners, members, supporters and stakeholders over the coming months to ensure a smooth transition ahead of the 2027 season.

Northern Pride will release further information regarding 2027 home fixtures, memberships, corporate hospitality, ticketing and game-day arrangements at Stan Williams Park as details are finalised.
