  • Develop a list of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities and organisations within our local area or sphere of influence that we could approach to connect with on our reconciliation journey.

  • Build partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and organisations.

3. Participate in and celebrate National Reconciliation Week (NRW)
  • Encourage our staff to attend a NRW event.
  • Circulate Reconciliation Australia’s NRW resources and reconciliation materials to our staff.
  • Ensure our RAP Working Group participates in an external event to recognise and celebrate NRW.

4. Raise internal and external awareness of our RAP
  • Develop and implement a plan to raise awareness amongst all staff across the organisation about our RAP commitments.
  • Develop and implement a plan to engage and inform key internal stakeholders of their responsibilities within our RAP.
  • Engage our senior leaders in the delivery of RAP outcomes.

5. Educate and increase awareness to all staff, community members and players about the Uluru Statement of the Heart and Makarrata
  • Increase education and awareness of the Referendum Council's Report for a 'Makarrata' and a voice to Parliament as platform to reflect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's identity and increase positive participation in the game across the QRL's business operations.
  • Increase education and awareness of the Uluru Statement across the QRL's business operations
  • Support our organisation to build culturally appropriate services for our partners, communities and players through engagement with social services support agencies.
