Clinton Begg has a deep-rooted connection to rugby league, having dedicated over 30 years as both a match official and administrator. His involvement spans all levels of the game—from community rugby league to state and national competitions.

Throughout this time, he has received numerous Queensland Rugby League Awards for his contributions in the Match Officialdom category, as well as nominations for the NRL Volunteer of the Year. He is also a Life Member of the North Queensland Rugby League Referees, a testament to his long standing commitment and influence within the sport.

Clinton is particularly passionate about promoting rugby league in regional and remote areas of Queensland, working to increase participation and build stronger local connections to the game. He also has a strong interest in the successful implementation of the QRL Strategic Framework 2023-2027 and is focused on the opportunity’s rugby league can harness leading up to the 2032 Brisbane Olympics.

Professionally, Clinton is a consultant, advising businesses on strategies for success in the digital economy and helping them develop innovative, strategic structures. He has extensive experience working with both state and federal government departments and agencies and has collaborated with prominent national and international brands. With this broad expertise, Clinton brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic insight to the Queensland Rugby League Board.
