WITH only seven rounds to go the Spotless Services Club Championship is proving the most open race in, many years.

After round 17, the Easts Tigers lead the championship table on 192 points, but there are only 44 points separating first from the fifth-placed Ipswich Jets.

The Norths Devils (179) narrowly trail Easts and the Redcliffe Dolphins (176) are biting at their heels only three points back.

The Wynnum Manly Seagulls will be looking to put some space between them and the Jets on the leader board as the Seagulls sit on 151 points only three above Ipswich.

Occupying last spot on 102 points are the Souths Logan Magpies who will need strong performances from all three teams towards the end of the season to help them climb the ladder.

Each club has three teams competing in the championship with 10 points on offer for an Intrust Super Cup win, six for a FOGS Cup victory and four points if the Colts find on field success.

These points are culminated every round to determine where each club is positioned on the championship ladder.

The Club Championship trophy will be presented at the QRL annual awards night in September.
