THE annual Ray Lind Shield will be held at Gatton Hawks JRL home ground, Cahill Park, on Saturday, September 28.

The South West Under 17 representative Development team will play in the annual Ray Lind Shield against the Brisbane JRL Stingers Under 17s.

In what should be a great day of rugby league, the Broncos U15 Development Squad will play a Stingers U15 Development Squad at 12.30pm. This will be followed by an Under 16 girls game between the South West and Stingers.

Ray Lind will be the guest of honour on the day. A life member of the Brisbane JRL since 2005, Ray will turn 74 this year and he still fondly recalls the year of 1956 when he represented Brisbane as a player in the U17s.
