IT all starts Saturday, February 1, from 12 to 4pm.

That’s the day the army that is Gold Coast Junior Rugby League will assemble at Robina Stadium to begin their assault on season 2014.

In a first for the region; Gold Coast juniors will celebrate the National Rugby League sign-on day with a combined club day at the home of the Titans.

“We are planning a very special day,” the Gold Coast league’s Business Development Officer Ty Chapman said.

“It will be a real carnival atmosphere. It will be a fun day, a community day, a day for the youngest generation of the code and all the volunteers to come along and start the year with a bang.”

There will be plenty of bells and whistles at Robina Stadium on Saturday, February 1.

Every member of the Titans senior squad will be there – from internationals and Origin heroes Nate Myles, Ash Harrison, Greg Bird and Luke Bailey through to exciting young stars such as Albert Kelly, Aidan Sezer and Matt Srama.

There will also be plenty of activities for youngsters including pass-the-ball competitions, jumping castle and face painting.

Juniors will also have access to the Robina Stadium field and the dressing rooms – walking in the footsteps of their NRL heroes.

There will be also be rugby league clinics, which will be open to all comers, as well as suppliers’ booths and representatives from every junior club.

“There will be a sign-on element to the day,’’ said Chapman.

“So existing and new players can come along and sign up for the season. But there is so much more to the day. It will be a festival of rugby league with a real community emphasis.

“In past years each individual club has had their own sign-on day, but this year we decided on a combined approach so that the entire code, including players, coaches, officials, all the volunteers and parents can come along and have a great day.

“This will be a community event showcasing the greatest game of all - rugby league.”
