Junior and senior players from the Theodore Roosters recently commenced training for the upcoming 2014 season.

The senior side recently played in the Biloela Nines competition, running out Plate winners against Woorabinda in an action-packed game which saw Woorabinda jump out to an early 14-0 lead.

After an inspiring talk at half-time from coach Les Beezley, the Roosters came from behind to win 24- 14.

In a huge boost for rugby league in the region, former Origin player and CQ Capras coach Jason Hetherington attended the Theodore senior sign-on day.

The seniors’ first game will be against Gayndah in Gayndah on March 22. Junior league is also about to start with Theodore, Moura, Woorabinda and Baralaba competing in this year’s competition in Under 6s, U8s, U10s and U12s.

The Theodore juniors first game is the 15th of March in Baralaba. Training is Tuesday nights and Thursday nights for seniors and Thursday afternoon for juniors.
