JUNIOR Rugby League returns to the playing fields this weekend with round 8 of the RDJRL also being the start of selection trials for Rockhampton Junior Rustlers Under 13, Under 14 and Under 16 sides to compete at the Capricorn Selection trials in Emerald on June long weekend.
Selectors will watch over round 8 and round 9 to pick squads to compete in the trails as well as warm up games leading up to the Carnival.
Players will also be chosen to play for the Central Wests teams at the Carnival.
Friday afternoon will see the Under 16 take to Saleyards Park:

On Sunday, the RDJRL Mini Mod competition commences with 39 teams nominated in Under 6 through Under 12.
This year, there are 11 teams playing Under 6 non-competitive games each week, this is a big rise on previous years and shows the growth and popularity of Rugby League in the Capricorn region.
Games will be played at Saleyards Park, Gymmy Grounds, St Brendan’s, St Benedict’s and at Rockhampton High School.
