Rockhampton and District Junior Rugby League
Results from the weekend’s Round 9 International Competition and Round 2 of the Mini Mod Competition are as follows below:
Under 13
This weekend’s clash between Fitzroy and Emu Park will determine the minor premiers, as this round was washed out in Round 7.
This game gives this age group the perfect finish leading into the semi-finals.
Rockhampton Brothers Blue and Norths should make up positions three and four.
Under 14
Brothers White should finish minor premiers after they defeated Brothers Blue last Thursday for the first time in three years.
They had another big win on the weekend and meet Yeppoon this week to finish off the regular season.
Brothers Blue should run second, with Capricorn Coast Brothers and Norths making up the four.
Under 15
With Emu Park defeating Brothers on the weekend to end Brothers’ unbeaten run, they have clawed within two points of top spot.
They will now meet Fitzroy this week while Brothers take on third place Capricorn Coast Brothers.
The results of these games will determine the final make up of the top three.
Brothers have been without their Capricornia Schoolboy representatives for the past two weeks and have them back leading into the last round and semi finals.
Under 16
Yeppoon have dominated this season and take on second place Capricorn Coast Brothers in the final round.
The top four is secure and this week’s last round will determine spots two, three and four on the ladder.
The Yeppoon-Capricorn Coast match could well be a preview to this year’s Under 16 decider, though Brothers Blue and Norths will have other ideas.
Under 18
Brothers managed to skip ahead on the weekend with their hard fought win over Gracemere, while Capricorn Coast upset over Yeppoon and Emu Park’s impressive win over Norths has put them within striking distance of the top four.
This weekend’s rounds will determine the final standings and in this competition no side has been able to show dominance over any other team.
It’s all to play for with this weekend’s results determining who between Norths, Capricorn Coast Brothers and Emu Park will be eliminated from the semi final race.
