THE Norths Female Rugby League Program continues to grow and approaching the middle of the season; the players are getting used to the weekly grind.

It has been quite a hectic time with representative trials for the Under 16 and Open Teams.

The Under 16 South East Queensland side will be travel to Cairns during the school holidays to take part in the State Championships.  The team will have a distinctly “Tigers” feel about it with Ronnie White and Becky Jones appointed as the coaches and six players included in the squad of 19; a great result for the efforts that our coaching staff and players have been putting in.

In our first year of the program, we are certainly making our presence felt in the Queensland female rugby league world.

Team News – Brisbane and District Women’s Rugby League and junior competitions

Our three junior teams of Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 continue to sit in the top two of each competition.  All teams are starting to feel the grind of a season and sometimes the numbers of players fluctuate.  Overall happy with the progress in the first year but still room for improvement.  The Under 18s play this Friday night at Chambers Flat against the Phoenix Mustangs and then all teams have a break for school holidays until July 12.
