After a thrilling 2014 Ipswich Rugby League season the approaching 2015 season is sure to attract excitement from Ipswich rugby league fans.

In 2014 the Norths Tigers (pictured) won the premiership, defeating Brothers in the grand final and ending a 19-year wait for Ipswich rugby league’s ultimate glory.

Brothers were the minor premiers of the 2014 Ipswich Rugby League A-grade competition and despite losing players they will still be a highly competitive team in 2015.

Players that have left Brothers for the 2015 season include; Jake O’Doherty, Geoffrey Broome, Shane Gibson, Kiti Notoa, Josh Afoa, Shane Picker, Jacob Lindsey, Jason Connors and Ben Seve.

But Brothers have also added some players for the 2015 season including; Denman Ah You, Matt Hamill, Zac Lokeni and PJ Oloitoa.

Brothers vice-president Mick Nugent said: “Brothers will be relying on players who will be returning to the club such as Sam Krueger, Jack Boettcher, Elijah Umu, Willie Oloitoa, Shaun Daylight and Nat Creedy to lead the way in 2015.”

As was the case last year some of Brothers’ player losses have been West End’s gain.

Shane Gibson and Kiti Notoa have left Brothers for the West End Bulldogs who will be looking to make a big impact on the 2015 A-grade season after finishing last in 2014.

The addition of Gibson to West End in 2015 is an exciting prospect for Bulldogs fans with the former Brothers player sure to bring big-game experience that may be useful come the back-end of the 2015 season.

With strong teams right across the A-grade competition the 2015 Ipswich Rugby League premiership looks sure to deliver another great season.
