CQ Capras Media Release

The Rockhampton Leagues Club CQ Capras today wish to advise that head coach Jason Hetherington has tendered his resignation, effective at the conclusion of our game against the Easts Tigers this Saturday.

Jason advised the club that he would be stepping down to spend time with his family as they battle through some private health matters.

Jason will have coached 52 games for the Capras after the match against Easts Tigers. He took the helm of the Capras in late 2012 with his first game in charge being Round 1 of the 2013 season against the Sunshine Coast Sea Eagles at Stockland Stadium.

The Central Queensland Capras would like to publicly thank Jason for the countless hours of hard work and dedication he has given the club. He has been a truly great ambassador for the Capras, rugby league, Central Queensland, his family and himself. The club would also like to wish Jason, Kym and their family every success and happiness in the future.

The Capras have appointed current assistant coach Lionel Harbin as interim coach of the CQ Capras. The club will now investigate possible replacements for Jason as head coach of the Capras.
