A second half surge from Wynnum Manly Redland City delivered a seemingly unlikely comeback against Logan Brothers at Civic Park.

Trailing 20-4 at the break, the Seagulls turned the match on its head after halftime, crossing for five tries.

The revival featured another eye-catching display from ex-Grafton Ghost Mitch Lollback who notched his second hat-trick of the year.

Lollback scored a fortuitous try in the first half but his two in the second were all class.

The nippy fullback finished off a break by hooker Mitch Moore and sealed the match when he soared above the pack to take a bomb.

Lollback now has eight tries in the opening six rounds.

An inspired run from lock Semisi Afoahi saw WM Redland City take the lead 22-20 for the first time in the 72nd minute before a late field goal to Chris Green put his side seven points clear.

Logan Brothers crossed in the final minute but the result had slipped through their fingers.

Earlier, the home side shot to the front with backs Joseph Richards and Tong Chong finishing well in each corner.

However, Logan Brothers failed to control possession in the second forty.

Coach Jason Gainey will be sweating on the fitness of his captain Trevor Exton who left the field limping early in the second half.

In other fixtures, Carina posted their first win of the season against Normanby with Scott Greenhill notching personal tally of 18 points in the 52-4 victory.

Easts also crossed the half century mark against Valleys – fullback Maeli Seve, Whetu Austin and Sam Bielefeld got doubles.

The Jets continued their unbeaten run with a 36-20 win over Gaters, while three tries to Brett Coutts helped Redcliffe sneak past West Brisbane.
