The XXXX Maroons will bring some Origin cheer to the people of North Queensland at their annual Fan Day to be held in Proserpine next week.

With a street parade, Civic Centre lunch and Maroons Junior Clinic/signing session at Les Stagg Oval, rugby league fans throughout the Whitsunday region are eagerly awaiting the chance to meet their favourite players.

The opportunity to soak up the atmosphere in Proserpine will provide a great springboard for the Maroons ahead of the deciding State of Origin match at Suncorp Stadium.

Recent Maroons Fan Days have been held in Longreach, Bundaberg, Roma and Emerald.

Proserpine is a renowned rugby league stronghold, with numerous top level rugby league players having called Les Stagg Oval home over the years, including former state representatives Eddie Muller and Paul Bowman, along with Travis Waddell and the late Sam Faust.
