Brothers defeated Norths Tigers 36-4 in the Ipswich Rugby League Boettcher Realty Colts Cup on Saturday.
Norths had the early momentum and after seven minutes Dylan Martin scored to give the Tigers a 4-0 lead.
When AJ Raeli scored for Brothers in the 20th minute, momentum completely shifted and it was Brothers who were now on the front foot.
With two minutes remaining until halftime Chris Bell used great evasive skills and power to stride through and score a great try to give Brothers a 12-4 lead.
Norths placed a lot of pressure on Brothers' try-line early in the second half, with a heap of possession in Brothers' 20-metre area, but the Brethren showed great toughness to keep the Tigers from scoring again.
Brothers great goal-line defence was rewarded when they got the ball back, with two quick tries giving the Brethren a 24-4 lead.
The attack from Brothers in the second-half was outstanding as they looked strong right across the field.
With 13 minutes remaining Brothers scored yet again as their lead grew to 30-4.
When Chris Bell scored his second try with nine minutes to go, the result was put beyond doubt.
As the final whistle sounded to signal fulltime it was Brothers who were victorious, with a fantastic display of attack and defence in the second-half giving them a 36-4 win.
In round 11 of the Ipswich Rugby League Mayor Paul Pisasale A-Grade Cup, Norths defeated Brothers 27-14, West End defeated Swifts 40-32 and Goodna defeated Fassifern 48-34.
