Football returned in a big way last weekend with the staging of the NRL Auckland Nines and a number of big trial matches across the state and beyond.
This weekend – a week-long festival of football will culminate in the Harvey Norman Rugby League All Stars matches (NRL All Stars, Women’s, Under 16 Murri v Koori and Touch) on Saturday night at Suncorp Stadium.
Elsewhere however, there are a heap of great games to go out and see.
Up north – last year’s Intrust Super Cup minor premiers the Townsville Blackhawks will take on the NRL champions the NQ Cowboys, while back in the south-east corner the Wynnum Manly Seagulls and Brisbane Broncos will meet on Friday night.
Easts Carina will also host a big day of football on Friday, with the staging on the Murri v Koori Interstate Challenge between the Southern Dingoes and Redfern.
