The SEQ Division’s Junior Girls’ competitions get under way this weekend (March 19) with a Gala Day 9s carnival.

The Gala Day will be held at Beenleigh Juniors RLFC (Hammell Park, Beenleigh) with matches being played in the Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 age divisions. Games kick off from 9am.

There is still an opportunity for teams/players in the Under 18s competition to compete – with only three teams currently included in the draw.

Clubs who think they will have players interested in taking part in the Under 18 competition are asked to contact their eligible for Under 18s this season (born in 1998, of 1999 and have attained 17 years of age currently) to see if they would like to participate in some fun football to start the season.

Any Under 19 Women (born in 1997), will also be eligible to participate tomorrow.

Players who are interested in taking part can still do so, as they will be allocated in teams as they nominate.

Reasonable numbers have applied for the Under 14 and Under 16 competitions and these are age groups are expected to provide some exciting football on the day.

For more details about the day or nomination details, contact the Division office on 3367 6060 or Casey Bromilow 0488 925 850 to arrange registration.

Players do not have to be registered currently to participate in the junior program, with the Division taking out separate insurance for the day.

Come and join in the free Gala Day Carnival and also enjoy the free sausage sizzle being provided by the Beenleigh club.
