After making his NRL debut this year with the North Queensland Cowboys, Mackay Cutters hooker Josh Chudleigh has capped off his season by being named the Intrust Super Cup's Courier Mail Medal best and fairest player for 2016.

Even though the Cutters finished at the bottom of the ladder this season, Chudleigh personally grabbed every opportunity that came his way with both hands.

Following his presentation of the Intrust Super Cup's major accolade, Josh told QRL TV that he wanted to take what he'd learnt from the NRL back to the Cutters, who did string a few wins together during the back half of the season.
