Week 1 finals of the FOGS Colts Challenge finals took place last Saturday and saw the elimination of the Burleigh Bears following a 46-12 loss to Norths Devils.

Centre Kalemb Hart was a standout for Norths in the win over last year’s premiers; securing two tries in the elimination final.

The Devils will now see themselves in the minor semi-final against East Tigers, who will be looking to redeem themselves after they just fell short of a win last weekend in their 12-10 loss to the Redcliffe Dolphins.

Both the Tigers and Devils have had strong season this year and will hope all the hard work they have done all season will help them to secure a spot in the grand final.

The Devils finished the regular season four points behind the Tigers; and they are determined to prove themselves and push further into the finals.

Easts however are looking bounce back from their past two losses to secure themselves a spot in Week 3 of the finals.

The first round of finals proved difficult for Redcliffe who just scraped through to the major semi-final against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls who had Week 1 of the finals off after finishing the season as minor premiers.

Both teams have had a strong season, and this match is set to be one everyone is excited to see.

With both teams hoping to secure the first spot in the grand final on September 25, Wynnum Manly will be keep to show everyone why they finished on top.

With two great matches ready to kick off, you will be able to catch both matches live at Dolphin Oval this Sunday, with the minor semi final kicking off at 10am, followed by the major final at 11.30am.
