Queensland Maroons coach Kevin Walters was on hand to help present a special signed car bonnet to the Wesley Hospital Choices Cancer Support Centre on Tuesday earlier this week.

Bearing the signatures of members of the victorious Maroons State of Origin team; Queensland Police Commissioner Ian Stewart officially handed over the bonnet to Wesley Hospital’s General Manager Michael Krieg who will auction to item to help support the work of the Choices Cancer Support Centre.

Queensland State of Origin coach Kevin Walters thanked those who had been involved in the initiative.

“This will raise some great money for the charity,” Walters said.

The Wesley Hospital General Manager Michael Krieg was pleased to have such a great item to auction to raise funds for the Choices Cancer Support Centre.

“We rely on volunteers and fundraisers efforts to support that program,” Mr Krieg said.

“The program supports anyone with suffering cancer in the state so this is a significant donation to continue that work.”
