There was a large media contingent on hand to hear Harvey Norman Women's coach Jason Hetherington speak about the players selected to represent Queensland's 2018 team.

Six debutantes have been named in the side, including Tallisha Harden who spoke at the press event about how much it meant to be able to wear the Queensland jersey.

She was joined by Kody House who has represented Queensland Women for the past three years in what was then known as the Interstate Challenge; while Jillaroos prop - fresh from the announcement of her signing with the Brisbane Broncos - attended to support.

On June 22, Harden, House and the rest of the selected Queensland team will take on NSW for the State of Origin shield at North Sydney Oval.
