Despite shifting from him more familiar role of centre for the final game of their final game of the season; Tweed Heads leader Lamar Manuel-Liolevave showed he was up to the challenge, producing a key performance for this side.
In a showing that earned him a place in this week’s Intrust Super Cup ‘Team of the Week’; Manuel-Liolevave ran for a game high 194m for the Seagulls which included the break that saw him score the try that helped his side secure a draw with the finals-bound Northern Pride.
Elsewhere; it was another consistent all-round performance from Wynnum Manly’s Pat Carrigan, whose 36 tackles and 179m saw the Seagulls take it up to the Townsville Blackhawks in their narrow loss.
