Ipswich Jets CEO position vacant

The Ipswich Jets are looking for qualified people to apply to join their club in the role of CEO.

The position has become available with current Jason Cubit having accepted a job in education closer to home. One of the core values of the Jets is family first – so the club respect his decision to do what was best for his family and wish him well.

The role of Ipswich Jets CEO involves key responsibilities in relation to the Jet’s Community Engagement Program, football operations, the development program and direct involvement in marketing and sponsorship.

The role also offers an opportunity to work in rugby league at an exciting level and in a well-supported community focused environment.

The CEO is responsible for the:

i) management of the Jets’ football and business operations;

ii) overseeing the Jets’ fulltime and casual employees and numerous volunteers and part-time assistants;

iii) undertaking of all negotiations for contracting players and overall responsibility for the management of the player roster. The CEO works closely with the Head Coaches and Development Manager in relation to these responsibilities;

iv) strategic marketing and sponsorship which is a critical aspect of the Jets’ revenue sources.

v) game day and events operations and management of all volunteers and staff. In addition, there are several events throughout the year which require planning, co-ordination and execution.

vi) maintaining and managing the significant relationships with key stakeholders within the Ipswich community, the NRL and QRL.

The CEO reports to the General Manager and the Board of Directors.
