Roosters bench prop Lindsay Collins blew his former club off the park in Thursday's 59-0 win over Brisbane in a performance coach Trent Robinson said showcased his physicality and evolution as a player.

The 24-year-old took his mission against some of his former clubmates personally as he ran for 272 metres and scored a tearaway try in the most dominant display of his 28-game career.

"He's a Queenslander, which has its own type, as we know and Queenslanders and Kiwis have been cornerstones of our sides over the years," Robinson said.

"Lindsay has got a physicality about him and is an intelligent guy who knows his role and does it ever single week.

"People like to watch him play and he has evolved. He's had some tough moments at the back end of the last couple of years after missing out on some big games, but he has often got us in big games as well. He has a bright future."

Match Highlights: Broncos v Roosters

Robinson praised Siosiua Taukeiaho and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves for giving the Roosters early momentum. Waerea-Hargreaves had 10 runs for 120 metres inside 20 minutes.

"He was really physical and had a couple of double carries in sets. They both laid really good platforms for us and that allowed Lindsay to do what he did off the back of that which was great," Robinson said.

Robinson got a call from the doctor at 7.30am on game day to say that fullback James Tedesco was out of action with a fever. The switch of Brett Morris from wing to fullback worked an absolute treat and he combined brilliantly with his twin Josh.

Robinson lauds Collins' progression

Brett set up two tries in the first half, saved one with a try saver on Corey Oates and scored the final try of the night.

"It is really good to watch the Morrises play. They are really good footy players and they just get the job done whether it is scoring a try or saving a try," Robinson said.

"You tell B-Moz he's going to play [fullback] so we sit down and go through how we are going to organise our defensive line. He takes it on board and gets it done. He is a no fuss type of guy."

A devastated Broncos coach Anthony Seibold said he would consider changes for this Thursday's clash against Manly.

With several big names missing Seibold knew his side faced a tough ask on the night.

"I didn't think the ride would be this bumpy that's for sure," he said.

Robinson shares his views on by-products of new rules

"The Roosters are the premiers, but under the blowtorch we didn't handle the pressure. We have a disappointed group in there.

"If you can't look at the bloke beside you, you have to look at yourself. My job is work out collectively how to turn this around.

"We've come out of COVID and we haven't fired a shot, but I haven't lost belief in this group."
